In addition to a 5 star hotel inside the complex, a helipad and a wide parking lot for buses and cars, Riocentro also offers easy access for those who plan on accessing it throught public transport. Located in front of the Athletes Park (“Parque dos Atletas”) and right next to the Olympic Park (“Parque Olímpico”), in an area which is greatly serviced by public transportation, Riocentro is located only a few meters away from two BRT stations, one of them being named as Riocentro Station (“Estação Riocentro”), right in front of its main gate.
Abelardo Bueno and Salvador Allende avenues, main access roads to Riocentro, were duplicated recently, and now there are five tracks in each way. The project benefited urban mobility directly, which increased the traffic fluidity and capacity levels in the region, especially during rush time.
South Zone/Zona Sul: Subway with integration to the Transwest and Transolimpic (“Transoeste” and “Transolímpica”) lines.
West Zone/Zona Oeste or “Baixada”: Transolympic lines transport the passengers up until the new BRT stations, in front of the venue.
Red or Yellow Lines (“Linha Vermelha” or “Linha Amarela”): roads that conduct drivers to the complex in a practical and fast way. This means that a great part of the city is integrated trough the new roads.
